USA – The teen birth rate in 2011 dropped to its lowest level since 1946. About 330,000 teenagers had babies last year. That is an eight percent drop from the year before.
Some experts attribute the decline to the ailing economy.
At the same time, the death rate is up. The CDC says there were more than 2.5 million deaths in the U.S. last year. That’s the highest ever. It has to do with our aging population.
