HUNTSVILLE, TX – A tragic scene in Huntsville takes sibling rivalry to an awful level.
Last night, the unthinkable happened. Walker County Sheriff’s Department says a 10-year-old boy grabbed a handgun, walked into his 15-year-old sister’s room and fired the gun multiple times in her direction.
As if that wasn’t enough, the little boy then turned the gun on himself.
The sheriff’s department says one parent was home at the time and heard the shots. She went to see what had happened, then called 911.
Both children were air lifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where the little boy was pronounced dead.
As for his sister, the sheriff’s department says she underwent surgery and is in critical but stable condition.
Walker County Sheriff’s Office is now trying to find answers to these dark questions.
