HOUSTON , TX – It’s not your average evading arrest case.
‘This individual flagged down an officer on Westheimer and Hillcroft, and said someone had put something in his drink at a club,’ says HPD Sgt. S.J. Reece.
In other words, HPD says the suspect alerted cops himself that he was wasted. Then while the officer was taking down information, he took off.
Fast forward through a high speed chase, the encounter ended at a gas station on Lockwood at Navigation, where the suspect threw another curve ball.
‘He said he had been on a date with the policeman that stopped him,’ says Sgt. Reece.
Translation: the suspect claimed he had been at a club with the cop who pulled him over. Oh and while at the club, the cop roofied his cocktail. Seem a little unlikely?
It’s all under investigation. The dude got sent to the hospital. Police say he was belligerent and probably on PCP.
He’s getting charged with evading arrest. At least he was creative about it.
