PHILADELPHIA, PA – It’s been three years since Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Michael Vick, pled guilty to funding the “Bad News Kennels” interstate dog fighting ring, where dozens of helpless pooches fought to their deaths.

After spending a little more than year and a half in prison and losing millions in sports merchandising and endorsement deals before returning to his career in the NFL, apparently Vick feels he’s ready for another whack at this whole dog-owner thing (minus the whacking part this time!) Vick says he’s turned over a new leaf, and looks forward to teaching his kids about having a healthy relationship with animals.

So, we wish the family, and its newest addition, many years of ball throwing happiness. Let’s just hope this time around, there’s more barking and less biting!
