A Dallas mother is sentenced to 99 years in prison after gluing her two year old daughter’s hands to the wall and beating her into a coma.

One Dallas judge is putting the gavel down on child abuse.

Jocelyn Escalona, at just two years old, had her tiny hands glued to a wall and was beaten into a coma by her own mother.

In her testimony, the 23-year-old mother Elizabeth Escalona said, “I hit her. I kicked her constantly.”

Escalona faced anywhere from probation to life in prison after pleading guilty to injury to a child.

Escalona admitted her daughter “didn’t deserve that.”

It took the judge just 15 minutes after closing arguments to slap Escalona with 99 years. She will be eligible for parole after 30 years.

As for Jocelyn, she’s recovering in the hospital. Possibly the saddest chapter of this story is Escalona’s five kids will now grow up without their mother.

Twenty-three with 5 kids…I’m 37 with 3 kids…and Gods knows I couldn’t handle more. Young ladies lets be wise, and besides we are living in hard times.
