HOUSTON, TX – Finding buried treasure. That’s 10 times better than finding cash in your jeans pockets! Burying yourself in Treasure’s dancers. Well, that’s a way to you find yourself without any cash in any of your pockets! It’s been a hard lesson for long-time Port of Oakland Maritime Director, James Kwon.

Port Commissioners had to meet for an emergency closed session last week after Kwon turned in a questionable expense report. Apparently Kwon spent more than $4,537 in public funds at Treasures strip club in 2008 while in town with other shipping industry executives. The receipt was categorized as a “drink and dinner reception” for him and the boys. We’ve seen the videos; you couldn’t pay us to eat there!

You’ve got to wonder if Kwon’s story came up during mediation between the Treasures Gentlemen’s Club and the city and state. There’s a difference of opinion regarding the proposal of putting 14 additional video cameras in Treasures to keep tabs on the club, and that mandatory granny panty rule for Treasure’s dancers very well may have cut Kwon’s bill in half!

Those rules haven’t been decided upon yet and neither has Kwon’s fate.

Kwon wasn’t available for comment.

Reports say he’s in China for another port conference. Perhaps this one will have a happy ending!
