HOUSTON, TX – Houston’s Boys in Blue are taking down the boys in red and the other boys in blue.
We’re talking, of course, about the Bloods and the Crips–who are causing a menace to society in Southwest Houston, particularly the Brays Oaks neighborhood, which is home to two elementary schools.
“People with their kids, especially when they’re coming home from school or going to school walk past these gang members conducting criminal activity right in front of them,” said Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan.
At this point, throwing the gang bangers in jail isn’t enough to keep crime down, so Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan has slapped the Bloods and the Crips with a lawsuit, in hopes of keeping them out of the area.
“If they violate the injunction, if we get the ruling from the court, the judgment that we hope for, it could be $4,000 a day and a year in jail,” said Ryan.
The gang bangers like to hang around two convenience stores in the area, so the Harris County Attorney has also put the store owners on notice, urging them to install more surveillance cameras and add extra security.
Here’s hoping the lawsuit will make it inconvenient for the gangs to do business at the convenient store.
