USA – They say Twinkies are supposed to last forever.  But it looks like the company that makes them won’t.
Hostess appears to be shutting down.

Like it’s the bona fide end of the world, there has been a run on the spongy logs of cream at grocery stores (we scooped up the last two boxes at a local Kroger).

The public seems somewhat less concerned about the 18,000 people who will probably be losing their jobs.  They had been on strike for the last week over pay and pension cuts.

The company is looking to sell off its iconic brands, so Twinkies may not be gone for good.
