GRAPLEAND, TX – If delivering the mail ever gets boring, getting bit by a lemur would really spice things up.  That’s what happened to Marla Reeves in Grapeland, Texas.

Reeves was getting into her mail truck when the family pet jumped in, bit her and jumped out.

“…When I looked back to pull away, that’s when I felt the pain in my hand. I looked at my hand and the lemur was on my hand.  I lifted my arm up and blood was all down my arm,” said Reeves.

There may be some legal action to come. Reeves was left with scars on her wrist and forearm.

In the meantime, the lemur is being quarantined to make sure he doesn’t have rabies.
