Klein Oak High School’s Brandon Roye is trying to hit the sweet note of success.

And this senior drum major is this week’s Class Act!

His schedule is filled with being in the band where he helps mentor the freshmen. Roye takes classes in the international baccalaureate program, and has been a 4-year member of student council. Plus he donates his time at a local animal shelter.

Brandon also finds the time to work as a waiter at a retirement home. The tenants who live at the Village at Glennoch Farms are very impressed with their young helper.

Brandon would be proud to call himself a Longhorn as he plans to attend UT Austin.

“I want to be part of the Longhorn band. I want to do an undergraduate international business, try to become bilingual in Spanish and possibly do a study abroad in Spain.” Said Roye.

Yeah, why not try to scuba dive and sail as well? Guess what? That’s what this Class Act wants to do in his free time this summer.

Our question is, what free time?
