HOUSTON – School and guns don’t mix. But that didn’t stop one kid from bringing one to school. School officials with the Spring Branch ISD say a freshman student brought a weapon into a Spring Woods High School classroom and it went off.
“The student discharged the weapon and we believe it was an accidental discharge. Fortunately, the projectile did not hit any students or cause any injuries in the classroom,” said Chuck Brawner, Spring Branch ISD Chief of Police.
A letter was sent home to parents telling them what happened. Thankfully no one was hurt or this story could have had a much worse ending.
