RICHLAND HILLS, TX – Maybe this whole December twenty-first thing is getting a little out of hand.

For this guy in Richland Hills, TX, it wasn’t just a hand, but a back. His son’s back, to be precise. Cops say Brent Troy Bartel called 911 and admitted carving a pentagram into the six-year-old’s back.

Dispatcher: What’s going on there?

Bartel: I-I-I-I shed some innocent blood.

Dispatcher: I’m sorry?

Bartel: I shed some innocent blood.

Dispatcher: Okay… what do you mean sir?

Bartel: I inscribed a pentagram on my son.

Dispatcher: On your son?

Bartel: Yes, Ma’am.

Dispatcher: Okay…why did you do that?

Bartel: ‘Cause it’s a holy day… anyway my…bye.

Cops say the bad dad did the deed with a box cutter.

They found the boy shirtless and shivering. He went to the hospital, but didn’t require stitches, even though cops say they found a significant amount of blood at the house.

They still don’t know why he did it, because he wasn’t drunk or on drugs.
