PAPILLION, NE – A Nebraska contractor’s mistake has cost him his job and some FedEx customers their packages.

Over 300 FedEx customers in Papillion, Nebraska have been waiting for their packages since Thanksgiving and it looks like they shouldn’t hold their breath for a holiday delivery.

A contract driver decided to deliver a truck full of packages to the middle of the street.

Of the 435 packages only 31 were recovered intact and delivered.

Postal inspectors found 90 empty packages, leaving 314 unaccounted for.

They were able to track down the driver who confessed and was fired.
