Reality TV is about to hit a new low, if that’s possible

ATLANTA, GA – Rapper Carlos “Shawty Lo” Walker was a member of the hip hop group DL4, but he’s now doing his own thing. Oh, and he also has another claim to fame.

Having 11 kids with 10 women.

The Oxygen Network is hoping to bank on that premise, with plans to air a one-hour special this spring called “All My Babies’ Mamas”.

Not everyone is excited about the baby mama drama.

Author Sabrina Lamb has launched a petition on asking the network to nix the project because it is demeaning to black families.

So far the petition has more than 24,000 signatures that agree.

Network execs may be taking note, because a Forbes magazine blogger noted that the show’s 13-minute trailer has been pulled from YouTube and a description of the show on Oxygen’s website in December has also been removed.

If the show doesn’t air, don’t worry.  There’s still plenty of reality TV shows out there to keep you occupied.
