ALBUQUERQUE, NM – As new details come out of Albuquerque, New Mexico on the 15-year-old that murdered his family, the story continues to take twists and turns.

Police say Nehemiah Griego shot his parents and three younger siblings. Court documents say Nehemiah went to church and had different versions of what happened. He told his girlfriend his family was dead; that they died in a car crash. But he told church leaders that his family was dead inside his house. That’s when police were called.

According to police’s timeline, Nehemiah took a rifle in his parents closest and shot his mom as she slept. He also shot his 9-year-old brother when he woke up. He then went into his sister’s room and shot the 5 and 2-year-old. He waited more than four hours for his dad to come home and then shot him.

You can’t even begin to imagine a motive, but according to the teen, he suffered from anger issues, was annoyed with his mom and had suicidal thoughts.

Perhaps the most saddening thought is that Nehemiah was never able to get the help he really needed until it was too late.
