Ahhh yes,  the day you’ve all been waiting for.  No, not your Saturday, but the day to go out and vote for your State Senate district 6 replacement.

Voters are casting their ballot to replace the late Mario Gallegos, who died last October.

For those of you who aren’t so familiar with the districts, Section 6 covers Houston’s east end as well as portions of Galena Park, Pasadena and Baytown.

If no candidate wins the majority, the top two vote getters will face each other in a runoff election. That could leave the district without representation for another month.
