Something`s slithering over at the Children`s Museum.

February 10th marks the Lunar New Year, and 2013 is the year of the snake.

In Asian tradition, the snake is a symbol for wisdom, transformation, and healing, and looks to bring peace.

Kids from around Houston are celebrating with traditional Asian dances and arts and crafts.

They learned all about the Chinese dragon, how to write Asian symbols, and how to make Chinese fans.

All in celebration of the snake, this is considered sacred, just like the memories these kids are making.
