HOUSTON, TX – Finally, passengers of the Carnival Triumph returned to where the ill-fated trip started. Although the Carnival triumph lost it’s ‘umph’ most passengers say the crew never stopped trying.

After rolling into port 5 days after a fire turned the ship into a bobber, these folks might not be happy but they were glad to be back on dry land. Unfortunately, for the more than 4,000 passengers and crew on board the traveling wasn’t over just because they were out of the water.

Pseudo-vacationers who preferred leaving Alabama sooner rather than later hopped on board a chartered bus and rode all night to make it to the Port of Galveston.

As for the other folks, 11 chartered Delta flights flew over 2,000 passengers into Bush Airport so they could make their way back to Galveston where this whole thing started. After 5 days on a ship however, the airport’s not necessarily the most calming of atmospheres.

Passengers arriving there seemed to be more heated than they were when they got off the water.

As for that busted up Carnival ship; it’s headed to a shipyard in Mobile, AL where it will be repaired, but good luck convincing anyone to pay for a trip on that thing ever again!
