BROOKLYN, NY – The odds were stacked against him from before he was born. Now the baby delivered by C-section after his parents were killed in a car crash has died.

Nathan and Raizy Glauber’s Hasidic community in Brooklyn, New York was already mourning their sudden loss. The expectant parents were 21-years-old. They were heading to the hospital by cab midnight Saturday, when tragedy struck.

“It was sudden. She just wasn’t feeling well and they just went to check it out,” said Sarah Gluck, a family member.

The couple did not make it to the hospital alive. A speeding BMW crushed the cab at an intersection. The couple was killed; the other car’s driver and passenger took off by foot.

The baby, who was delivered three months shy of his due date, had been in critical condition. Maybe the conditions of his birth were too heavy for his small heart.

Police are pursing the hit and run suspects.
