WASHINGTON, D.C. – It was creepy enough in The Bodyguard; but it turns out Whitney Houston had a crazy stalker in real life too.
According to the FBI, a self-described loner from Vermont sent 128 pages of letters to the singer, calming he would hurt someone if she didn’t write back (she never did).
But there were other threats too, from obsessed fans to an extortion attempt, apparently by a friend.
An autopsy revealed cocaine and heart disease contributed to Houston’s death last year at 48-years-old. In the end, no level of protection could save her from herself.
