Lion kills intern at California animal sanctuary

DUNLAP, CA – A lion at Cat Haven, an animal sanctuary near Fresno, California, was shot and killed on Wednesday, after the 350 pound animal mauled a 24year-old park intern to death.

It’s not clear exactly what happened, but Dianna Hanson was killed at the scene. She was a student at Washington State University.

The sanctuary has not provided any details as to why Hanson was in the lion’s cage. The case is under investigation.
