WASHINGTON, D.C. – Invitations to the 135th annual Easter event included a disclaimer that said it’s “subject to cancellation due to funding uncertainty…” blah blah blah.
We are not thinking the White House will pull the plug. It would make some folks hopping mad. Besides, if they scrap this, what’s next? The turkey pardon? The tree lighting? It’s a slippery slope!
There is some good news though, for the projected 35,000 guests expected on the South Lawn. On Monday, the White House released a promotional video featuring Bo Obama on an egg hunt. That’s a good sign that the show will go on. To back out now would make the dog look like a rotten egg.
