HOUSTON, TX – Harris County Sheriff’s Office unveiled a new billboard near 59 and FM 1960, in hopes that it will lead them to an accused serial rapist.

“It’s another tool that we can use to get to the general public,” T.M. Gilliland, Harris County Sheriff’s Office .

Investigators are still on the look-out for one (possibly two) serial rapists who could be to blame for at least seven sexual assaults in north Harris County during the past year and a half. At least four of those rapes have been linked to the same suspect, thanks to DNA testing.

All of the attacks happened in the Cypress Station area, off I-45 north and Cypress Creek Parkway. Attacks can happen anywhere, though.

“Always be aware of where you’re at, take diligence to find out where you’re going, have a plan of when you get there, and when you leave, watch your surrounding and get home safely. That’s what we want to do.”

Stay safe, Houston.
