COMMERCE CITY, CO – Katherine Ann Leon is mourning the loss of her husband. He was murdered while he was delivering pizzas.

The Department of Corrections Director Tom Clements was also killed.

So what do these two murders have in common? Evan Ebel. Authorities say he’s the man responsible for killing Leon and Clements. The infuriating part of Katherine and Clements family is that it could have all been prevented. A Fremont county court made a mistake that lead to Ebel’s release four years early.

The 11th Judicial District Court issued an apology, but unfortunately a simple ‘I’m sorry’ won’t bring back two lives lost.
