It’s spring! Which means love is in the air.

That was definitely the case at the Ronald McDonald House Friday.

The kiddos there are either waiting for an organ transplant or just received one.

In light of National Donate Life Month, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office took a break from catching bad guys to stop by and do something good.

“They have brought GISMO the robot. We’ve had GISMO here before, and the kids love GISMO, but we have some armored vehicles outside and some guys with a lot of attire one them that the kids like even more. They get really excited,” said Leslie Bourne, House Executive Director.

The brave dudes and gals even got “deputized.”

“The citizens got a handful of new deputies with incredible spirit and perseverance and tenacity, and all it costs was a couple pizzas, so I think we got a good deal here,” said Sheriff Adrian Garcia.

What a great reminder to spread a little love.
