trainEVERETT, WA – A mudslide slammed into an Amtrak passenger train heading for Seattle. Mud, trees, rocks and who-knows-what-else hit the last three cars of the train — which included a dining car and two coach cars.

Luckily, no one was hurt. The damaged train cars were unlinked, and the rest of the train continued on to a nearby town. From there, the passengers hitched a ride on chartered buses to get to the Emerald City.
