LONG BEACH, CA – A set of hot wheels isn’t an uncommon sight in the Golden State. But people at a Long Beach gas station saw a set of literal hot wheels.

Someone got cell phone video of an SUV fully engulfed in flames. And this was no pumping gas accident. It was intentional.

Police say the 63-year-old victim was sitting in his car when another man tosses a flammable liquid through an open window. The SUV exploded in flames. Witnesses helped pull the driver out from the burning vehicle, but he suffered serious burns and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The fire was so intense, a nearby car also burned.

Luckily, police were hot on the suspect’s trail and caught him. Right now, they’re still sorting out all the details and trying to determine a motive.
