It’s been more than eleven years since the 9/11 terror attacks that changed our nation.

And while most Americans will never forget that day, a new reminder of that terrible tragedy has surfaced. New York police say surveyors were inspecting the site of a planned Islamic community center near ground zero when they found the part wedged in an 18-inch space between two buildings. The NTSB will now try to figure out which plane the part came from and medical examiners will check the area for human remains before removing the piece.

We may never find all the missing parts but hopefully this discovery will bring some of those affected—a little bit of peace.
