Horse rescued from mud; dog saved from abandoned car

LUNENBURG, MA – Firefighters and citizens in Lunenburg pulled together to help rescue a horse named Tequila that was stuck in the mud.

It took a few hours, but they were able to get Tequila out. Officials say she’s doing just fine.

It was another animal rescue in Kansas City, but this one was of a dog. Officials say the dog, Kia was left inside an abandoned Suburban that was towed to the Kansas City Impound lot.

She survived off trash in a McDonald`s bag for nearly a month. Luckily, a worker spotted the pup in the dashboard of the car and came to the rescue.

Police say the owners of the car could face charges. As for Kia, officials say they`re keeping her until she`s healthy enough to be put up for adoption.
