HOUSTONHOUSTON, TX – Houston is awesome! We already knew that. It might take an ad campaign for the rest of the world to catch up.  But let me tell you: it’s working. Major media outlets around the country have been showcasing Houston as one of the top up-and-coming cities to live in and visit. Of course! Because “Houston is…”

“This mural is called Houston is…,’ said graffiti artist Gonzo247. ‘And it actually started off as a part of the Houston is campaign…”

There you go, a gigantic mural to promote all that’s awesome about the Bayou City. What were you expecting? In Houston, we super-size! By the way, have you seen the mural at the corner of Preston and Travis, downtown?

Gonzo 247 is one of the local artists and chefs drafted by The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau to help put Houston on top of the world. Did you know creativity and taste are our secret weapons? Not too shabby!

“The center-point is Houston, obviously,’ said Gonzo247. ‘It’s where we’re at. And from the Houston you see this explosion of color. This is what visually the city looks like to me. It’s almost like this international quilt, this fabric made of all the cool things that are happening.”

Houston is… hospitality, warm weather, booming economy, museums, restaurants, street artists… sooner or later we’ll have to stop people from coming.
