ROSAHOUSTON, TX – Popular Latin group La Mafia is known for its hits, but these aren’t the kind of hits the Grammy winners are used to.

Lead singer Oscar De la Rosa and his driver were at Blurr Night Club in the Montrose area.

According to his reps, a not-so-nice fan wanted a picture.

De la Rosa’s manager Armando Lichtenberger Jr. said, “Sometimes Oscar, when he goes out for entertainment, he doesn’t like taking pictures.”

So when the guy didn’t get his way, he didn’t handle it very well.

HPD says the guy was waiting for De la Rosa outside the club.

“He sucker punched the driver, knocked him half unconscious. Then he went at Oscar and started pounding on his face,” said Lichtenberger.

The guy fled the scene, but cops think they know who it was.

De la Rosa’s reps say his face got cut up pretty badly, and he might have permanent damage to his right eye.

As for the fan, or “fanatic” who beat De la Rosa, it’s only a matter of time before someone sings to police and there’s an arrest.
