livesHOUSTON, TX – We all do dumb things. But riding without a seat belt shouldn’t be one of them. And it can cost you either a fine, or your life. So it comes as no surprise that TxDOT wants to remind us road warriors to Click It or Ticket.

Who knows? You may owe your life to the click it or ticket program.  It has helped save an estimated 3,700 lives and prevented nearly 50,000 injuries since it began in 2002.

But some still aren’t getting the message. TxDOT says teens, passengers, pickup truck drivers, and people in rural areas tend to not wear their seat belts.
