ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – The biggest single Powerball winner in history is a big mystery.

“You can’t keep a secret in this town and I know that for sure. The rumor mill’s flying, but somebody knows, but they’re not saying,” said Zephyrhills, Florida Mayor Daniel Burgess.

Lottery officials know the winning ticket was sold at Publix there.

But store representatives are going to keep quiet. They said in a statement, “We do not promote the lottery nor do we participate in lottery stories. We are excited for the winner and respect their privacy.”

Privacy will be hard to accomplish once the winner comes forward. Florida law states the name is public information.

If they claim their cash in a lump sum, which they have 60 days to do, they will pocket $377 million after taxes.
