valiumKATY, TX – Katy’s fire chief is now a fired chief. At least, he will be now that he’s been indicted on drug-related charges.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office says Marc Jordan took vials of valium from Katy Fire Department ambulances and gave them to a relative.

Now Katy officials are trying to put out the flames. They’re conducting their own investigation while Harris County handles the criminal case, and Assistant Chief Warner Preston has stepped up to run the department.

Now all Jordan will be running is to court appearances.
