inspectorPHILADELPHIA, PA – Just a week after a building collapsed in Philadelphia, killing six people and injuring 13 others, another life has been lost. But it wasn’t a victim of someone trapped in the rubble, it was a building inspector.

Ronald Wagenhoffer, 52, was found shot in the chest in a pick-up truck Wednesday night. Authorities say it appears it was self-inflicted.

Officials say Ronald inspected the building on May 14, and even signed off on the demo work for the building. That was all just three weeks before the fatal accident.

So whether it was guilt that drove him to take his own life or something else, it’s always a shame when someone turns to suicide as their last resort.
