clothesNEW YORK, NY – Imagine going into a shop to try on some new gear, only to have them charge you for a dressing room.

Some retailers are starting to do just that – charging anywhere from $5 to $25 to try on some clothes.

The new trend is popping up mostly at wedding boutiques in order to stop women from trying on the dresses just for fun.

With many Americans doing their shopping online these days, the “try-on” fee helps those brick and mortar stores make some dough off the people who are trying on clothes just for sizing.

Not to worry folks-this “try-on” trend hasn’t caught on too much yet. No one really wants to pay to shop.
