teesNOTTINGHAM, UK – And now, a groundbreaking scientific discovery. Women think guys who wear white t-shirts are hotter than men who wear other colors of t-shirts. 12% hotter.

Not 13%. Not 11%… 12% sharp.

Researchers at Nottingham Trent University found that plain white t-shirts can create an illusion that broadens the shoulders and slims the waist, which apparently is a top sign of masculinity.

30 female students participated in this experiment.  Psychologists showed them pictures of different male body shapes and asked them to rank the images according to perceived attractiveness and health.

So what’s the magic?

White t-shirts help shift the focus from a man’s stomach to his shoulders. They also found that exercising is way more effective than solely wearing a white t-shirt.

But we wonder what fashion scientists would say about the t-shirt Aaron Hernandez was wearing at the moment of his arrest. White t-shirt? Nah, there’s no need for another focus group.
