Friday was a dangerous night for city street walkers.

No, not prostitutes.

Pedestrians.

First, cops say a lady was walking across Goodson at Airline when she walked in front of a car.The car was said to have the green light. The lady is expected to be O.K. and nobody is in trouble.

Then, just before midnight, cops say an HPD sergeant was in his squad car, turning left from Travis onto Prairie, when he hit a homeless man. They say he wasn’t hit hard, but the poor guy bonked his head on the street. He had to be taken to the hospital, but was in stable condition.

You know what they say: Look both ways before crossing the street!
