It was a hot night in Houston but not just because of the sweltering temperatures.

Fire crews all over town were busy fighting some flames. The first happened at this home in north Houston. HFD says it was an electrical fire.

The family got out OK, but the house, not so much.

At the same time crews worked to quickly knock out another electrical blaze at the Courtyard Manor Apartments.  The woman inside got out safe and firefighters were able to save another important family member.

Unfortunately, three puppies inside didn’t make it.

And early Sunday, crews hit up this warehouse in northeast Houston.

The business was closed so luckily no one was inside. Firefighters got it under control but say it looks suspicious so arson investigators are gonna check it out.
