HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police Department homicide detectives were busy Sunday following a slew of shootings and murders that swept through the city Saturday night.

In Southwest Houston at Fondern and W. Airport where police say two men wearing masks shot a man and his female friend. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Police suspect the shooting was gang related.

In west Houston a man was shot several times outside his apartment complex. His girlfriend heard the shots and went outside to find him lying dead in the street.

Likely the most bizarre of all Saturday’s crimes was the body that was found in a bayou in Northwest Houston.

The man was found in ankle deep water by a pair of teenage boys passing by. Police say the man was wearing a black dress, pantyhose and high heels. His cause of death is still unknown.
