Man rescues endangered whale trapped in fishing net

whaleVIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A fisherman rescues a whale after it became trapped in a net, and it was all caught on camera.

Some fishermen were out on their boat, about 50 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, when they noticed a whale trapped in some fishing rope.

Turns out it was a northern right whale, which is an endangered species.

So right away Adrian Cole-Preet, also an experienced diver, decides to jump in to the rescue.

He was able to cut the cord and set the whale free; leaving Adrian a hero with a whale of a tale to tell.
