BOSTON, MA – People were pretty ticked off when word got around about the picture of the alleged Boston bombing suspect on the cover of Rolling Stone.

Sgt. Sean Murphy shared the sentiment. He was so upset that the photo looked so glamorized, he gave his photos to the Boston Magazine. His were from the night Tsarnaev was captured. Murphy said he released the photos because he wanted to show what he called ‘the real side of the Boston bomber.’

The state police suspended Murphy for releasing the photos and took him to court. He’s been placed on restricted desk duty until they finish their investigation into whether or not he really did do anything wrong.
