Skydiver knocks out baseball player, ends his season

skydiverHANNIBAL, MO – short-stop Mattingly Romanin and his Hannibal Caveman teammates were on Clemens field in Missouri getting ready for a summer league game.

As the national anthem was playing three local skydivers jumped onto the field.

The first skydiver landed no problem.

The second, however, was dropping in a hurry too close to a group of players standing behind second base. He accidentally kicked Romanin in the face, giving him a concussion.

After talking with his coach at Chicago State, Romanin decided to bench it out the rest of the summer season.
