TAVERES, FL – The Blue Rhino propane plant in Tavares, Florida appears to have been tragically unprotected. Ripples of explosions tore into the night on Monday.  Resident even a mile away had to flee.

Video shows what’s thought to be propane tanks shooting into the night sky like cannon balls. It looks like a total disaster, but something miraculous seems to have been at work.

Unlike in West, Texas where 15 people died in the plant explosion last spring, no one died in central Florida. Just eight people were sent to the hospital.

At this point, the investigation is just gearing-up. Meanwhile, we’re hoping the injured heal speedily, and crews also quickly uncover what blew Rhino.
