HOUSTON, TX – Residents of a mobile home park in Northeast Houston called police after hearing gun shots Wednesday morning. They were coming from a neighbor who allegedly shot a female relative with a shot gun inside their trailer.

The woman was taken to The LBJ Hospital in stable condition.

When police arrived, they say the suspect opened fire on them, missing but hitting their patrol car instead. The Swat team was called, but before they could intervene the man gave himself up to police peacefully.
