CENTER, MO – Sometimes we’d all like to think we get a little help from above. After Katie Lentz got in a car accident in Center, Missouri, help is exactly where she turned to.

Katie was hit by a drunk driver head-on. When emergency crews arrived they had to use the Jaws of Life to get her out. The only problem was that the car was an older vehicle, so the metal was better was a tougher quality and more difficult to break through. After about an hour of trying, Katie asked the rescue workers if they would pray out loud with her. That’s when a priest appeared out of nowhere.

The fire chief says the priest offered a prayer, and told the fire fighters to stay calm and that they would be able to take her out. Shortly after, Katie was able to get out. When the fire fighters turned around to thank the priest, he was gone.

It sounds like an urban legend or something, but it’s got officials believing in miracles because the road was blocked for a quarter of a mile during the rescue, and there were no other bystanders or cars at the scene.
