HOUSTON, TX – Burglar bars on the doors and windows, but Houston Business owners aren’t thinking about protecting their roof.
Yes, it seems Houston criminals are finding the front door, back door, window breaking method is so last year. Why stay on the ground to burglarize a store when you can climb on top of a building instead?
Cops say the owner of a convenience store in Northeast Houston got a call from her alarm company early Monday morning about a possible break-in at her business on Homestead Road. When the owner checked out her webcams, she says she saw someone on the roof and other people on the floor inside the building, so she called 911.
Apparently, three of the burglar-buddies got away, but what’s with this Houston-burglar-roof trend?
Remember back in May when some guy dressed like a ninja got into the Walgreens at Woodway and Chimney Rock through the roof and robbed the pharmacy?
Then a month later another entrance from above at a Walgreens in Southeast Houston!
All these clever ways to break into businesses but they all end up at the same door-step. Jail.
