TARRANT COUNTY, TX —┬áPeople around Texas are starting to feel a little uneasy after the state health department issued a Measles alert. Nine cases of the very contagious disease have been reported in north Texas` Tarrant County. Doctors are actually using the word outbreak! This many people haven`t been sick with the measles in Texas since 1996.

The disease which causes rash, fever, coughing, along with other unpleasant symptoms has been traced back to an adult who traveled to a foreign country late last month.

For now the Texas Health Department is saying don`t panic but rather be cautious. The disease is airborne and easily passed from one person to another.
