DALLAS, TX – As if the Dallas Cowboys needed a bigger head. The team just ranked numero uno on Forbes most valuable NFL teams, claiming an overall value of $2.1 billion.
Now our arch enemy is topping another list; the NFL’s ‘Most Loyal Fan Base’. This comes from students at Emory University’s sports and marketing program in Atlanta. No they didn’t put the Falcons at number two; Atlanta actually came in at 31 on the list of 32, which is where Oakland Raider fans dwell. Scanning the rest of the top 5 or even 10 you won’t see the Texans.
So where do the Texans fall on this list? Well, brace yourself because we rank in at number 16!
This list isn’t just teams that sell a lot of tickets, the guys who put this list together factored in things like won/loss record, area population and average income of fans. This way they’d be able to give a little fan equality and show who really makes it out to the games.
We don’t need a bunch of college kids to tell us where we stand with fan loyalty. Go to one game at Reliant and you’ll find out real quick that We are Texans and it’s a Texan’s game.
