HOUSTON, TX – A supporter of Texas governor frontrunner, Greg Abbott, took to Twitter to insult Senator Wendy Davis, who is considering running against Abbott for the Texas governor spot. She drew national attention when she filibustered for ten hours on behalf of abortion.

Abbott’s supporter called Davis an, “idiot,” and, “retard Barbie,” and also said Abbott would demolish Davis in the governor’s election.

Abbott is taking some heat for responding to the tweet saying, “…thanks for your support.”

Following a flurry of criticism, Abbott sent another tweet saying he doesn’t endorse “offensive language.”

At least Abbott is able to own up to a mistake. Maybe next time he won’t be so quick on the trigger when tweeting on Twitter.
